I Am Morbid returned to Brazil in less than a year for another series of shows. This time, the group came to the country to present the album Covenant , by Morbid Angel , in its entirety. In São Paulo, the performance took place last Thursday, the 19th.
Released 30 years ago, in 1993, the album Covenant is considered a seminal death metal album. This legacy is represented on stage by David Vincent , founder of Morbid Angel and member of the I Am Morbid project.
The band last visited Brazil in November 2022, when they also performed at Fabrique Club in São Paulo. On that previous occasion, the band's tour was a celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of their classic album Blessed Are The Sick (1991), Morbid Angel's second album. See photos from that performance here .
Just like this year, the band was scheduled to perform at Maranhão Open Air , but the show was canceled on both occasions: last year, the band was prevented from traveling due to a climate catastrophe , while the 2023 edition of the event in São Luís was completely canceled due to low ticket sales.
Our contributor Wellington Penilha was there and covered the event. Check out the exclusive photos below.
