Daniel Dystyler surprising everyone with a great and celebrated display of pride!
Rafael Masini: Starting another edition of Orgulho Nacional (National Pride), today Daniel Dystyler brought a band for us, let's see Daniel surprise us.
Daniel Dystyler: Yeah, actually I wanted to bring in an established band, a band that's been around since the 90s, they've opened for Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth in Japan – they've even played with Megadeth, so it's a band that needs no introduction, a band from Rio Grande do Sul called Hibria. They've already released three albums. I'm going to choose their latest album – the last album was released in 2011, called "Blind Ride," and the song I'm going to choose for us to listen to now is called "Shoot Me Down."
Nando Machado: That was “Shoot Me Down” with Hibria. And taking advantage of National Pride to talk about some bombshell news…
DD: Before you break the bombshell news, just to finish the Hibria story, I just wanted to recommend that our Wikibrothers check out Hibria's discography, because their 2009 album "The Skull Collectors" is fantastic, it's really cool. Go check it out, Nando.
NM: No, I just wanted to comment on Edu Falaschi's statement. He sent an open letter to the public saying he left Angra. What did you think of his decision? Or his, or Angra's, I don't know…
DD: Yeah, I wasn't really surprised, because since their performance at Rock in Rio, there's been a lot of silence from the band. He's been performing practically only with Almah, so it gave the impression that this was going to happen, so I wasn't very surprised by this decision.
NM: Well, that's it, we wish Angra and Almah good luck, and hope they continue pursuing their careers in metal.
RM: And before we wrap up this National Pride segment, I wanted to mention that we need Wikiminutes. Wikiminutes, for those who are just starting to listen to Wikimetal, is a one-minute segment where you tell a story related to heavy metal, Wikimetal, or a band… Bring it on, send us your story and we'll put it here on Wikiminute to Midnight.
DD: It could be a cool story, it could be a funny story, it could be a story that has to do with, you know, heavy metal, Wikimetal…
RM: Exciting.
DD: And send it to us. And to send it, does he need to record something very elaborate, Rafinha?
RM: No, just record it on your phone and send it to us by email; we'll always use it, we really like Wikiminute.
DD: For info@wikimetal.com.br and we'll be back now, closing this National Pride.
