Hurricanes , a rock and blues band, has released their second studio album, titled Back To The Basement .
Featuring 8 tracks, the new album arrives 1 year after their first release, both produced by guitarist Leo Mayer .
The album title references its origins, with the songs being composed in bassist Henrique Cezarino .
“We started writing a second album without any idea of a release date or anything, and to our surprise things started moving very quickly. We started drafting the album in December of last year, and by February or March, we were already in the studio recording,” says Leo.
Back To The Basement also features new instruments, such as the guitars in "Big Eyes," the electric pianos in "Down The Street," and the layers of percussion in "Over The Moon."
The band originated in southern Brazil, when Leo and vocalist Rodrigo Cezimbra joined forces. Upon moving to São Paulo in 2018, they met Cezarino and drummer Guilherme Moraes , and some of their songs from that period even appeared on the album.
“Big Eyes is a song that's from Santa Maria, back when we lived in Rio Grande do Sul, and Down The Street is one of the first compositions Rodrigo and I wrote here in São Paulo.”
Back To The Basement is now available on all platforms, and on CD via the Wikimetal Store .
