Hurricanes launched their new live session . The format consists of recording videos in different studios and live shows. The quartet will also be part of the Best of Blues and Rock 2025 , performing on June 14th at the festival, along with Judith Hill and Deep Purple .
The first track was recorded at Space Blues in São Paulo. For their debut, the band chose "Over The Moon," which is one of the highlights of their latest album Back to the Basement , released in September 2024 by ForMusic Records and available for purchase at Wikimetal Store .
Over the next few weeks, Hurricanes will be releasing more live session , focusing on capturing the band's energy during their live performances.
The band was founded by guitarist Leo Mayer and vocalist Rodrigo Cezimbra in 2016 in southern Brazil. In 2018, they moved to São Paulo, where they met drummer Guilherme Moraes and bassist Henrique Cezarino . For the live session , the lineup also included Jimmy Pappon on keyboards and Julia Benford on backing vocals.
