Hurricanes this Wednesday, the 18th “Freedom”. The track already hints at the creative direction of the Brazilian quartet's third album, to be released by the ForMusic Records.

The song speaks of inner liberation and comes with a dense groove and an almost ritualistic atmosphere, mixing rock, soul, and blues and carrying a raw energy. In the lyrics, this spirit of liberation and resistance appears powerfully, reinforcing the emotional intensity of the music.

The news anticipates the group's highly anticipated performance at Lollapalooza Brazil 2026, which takes place this Saturday, the 21st, at noon on the Samsung Galaxy stage. Hurricanes is known for its dynamic and contagious energy performances (praised even by the classic band The Black Crowes, when they opened for the Americans at Espaço Unimed in 2023), always focusing on the "live" aspect.

Recorded at Casa Yamamoto, the quartet's new album is expected to be released sometime in 2026. "In this project, we decided to bring the song ideas directly to the studio, without prior rehearsal or pre-production – which is making the whole process more organic, spontaneous, fun, and chaotic too," the group revealed.

The audience can therefore expect a completely new, explosive show and some surprises at the festival. “Playing these songs live for the first time has been almost an electric, intense, liberating ritual. We're vibrating high with that good kind of anxiety that only being on the road brings.”.
