Hurricanes releases Freedom this Friday, the 5th, their third studio album and, above all, their most spontaneous work.
Recorded live in just five days, the album was born from a process of total immersion: there was no pre-production, nor rehearsals before entering the studio. The tracks gained shape and identity in the very act of recording, capturing the energy, the risks, and the intensity of the moment.
Musically, the project broadens the group's horizons and flirts with influences that go beyond rock. Blues appears in "Dogs," folk drives "Ashes," elements of Eastern music mark "Rolling Where I've Never Been," while "Freedom" delves into soul. At the same time, songs like "Out of Sight," "Light the Way," and "When My Night Comes Down" carry the Hurricanes' already well-known signature, connecting this new phase to the roots that shaped the quartet's identity.
Together, these tracks reveal a moment of creative maturity, in which the band allows itself to explore new sonic territories without losing the essence that brought it this far.
