Hugo Mariutti , producer and guitarist of Shaman , releases today, the 26th, his newest single “Why?”, via ForMusic Records . The track is a preview of the artist's third solo album, which will arrive after A Blank Sheet Of Paper , from 2016, and For A Simple Rainy Day , from 2018.
The track features Gabrielle Rousseau on vocals and Edu Cominato ( SOTO, Jeff Scott Soto Band, Geoff Tate, Spektra ) on drums.
“It’s a song with very strong themes that we’ve been experiencing for quite some time: the problems of immigration in the world, prejudices, the helpless children who live amidst all this confusion,” comments the musician. Regarding Gabrielle’s participation, Hugo says that she is a “great friend and singer.” “When I showed the song to Edu, he gave me the idea of having a female voice in the chorus, and he was absolutely right. Gabrielle has a very cool style, which worked perfectly with what I was looking for.”
