Hugo Mariutti releases "Heaven" this Friday, the 11th, the first single from his fourth solo album. The album, This Must Be Wrong, is scheduled for release in early September.

“This song was the first one I wrote for the new project,” reveals Mariutti. “I remember recording the melody of the chorus on my cell phone and having the whole thing done that same day. It’s a song heavily inspired by English synth-pop bands from the 80s, but I tried to give it a more modern sound.”.

In addition to production and mixing, Hugo was responsible for recording all the instruments on the track, except for the drums, which were recorded by his right-hand man, Edu Cominato , who has played in very well-known bands, such as Mr Big .

The guitarist remains motivated to evolve artistically with each new work and is currently exploring more introspective compositions and delving into sounds that distance themselves from the heavy metal for which he is widely recognized. This Must Be Wrong follows The Last Dance (2023), his first release after the end of Shaman , and promises to further deepen the challenging process that led him to step out of his comfort zone.

“Heaven” is a ForMusic Records .
