Bonamassa did not allow members to continue using the band's name

Black Country Communion bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes announced via Twitter that the band no longer exists. Hughes' post blames guitarist Joe Bonamassa for the band's breakup

"Just to clarify things, BCC is finished. Bonamassa left and won't let us continue using the name. Nice, right?"

The vocalist also said, "Jason, Derek, and I will continue when the time is right.".

Bonamassa gave an interview this month that raised doubts about the future of Black Country Communion. The guitarist said he was fed up with the band.

In an interview with Wikimetal this month, the band's keyboardist Derek Sherinian said that the band should continue without Joe Bonamassa.
