The band features guitarist Andrew Watt
Former members of Black Country Communion, which disbanded in March of last year, Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham have announced the formation of a new band, California Breed, with guitarist Andrew Watt.
Hughes was introduced to the guitarist by John Lennon's son, Julian. According to the bassist, when they started composing and playing together, he immediately thought of calling Bonham to join.
The two musicians praised Watt, who is only 23 years old: "He's influenced by Mick Ronson and Jimmy Page ," says Hughes. Bonham commented: "When I met him, I thought he looked like a white Jimi Hendrix .
Hughes said the work sounds like pure rock, but contemporary. The trio's debut album, with 12 tracks, is scheduled for release in May.
