Mikkey Dee , former drummer of Motörhead , answered a fan's question about how many hours he rehearses every day during a Q&A session for the release of "Rock Believer ," the new single from Scorpions .

“How about zero hours?”, the musician joked during the live stream on YouTube Premium, as transcribed by Wikimetal . “No, actually, it depends, that’s a good question. In the beginning, it can vary from six to eight hours playing a day, but when you tour a lot, you need to have days off during the week to recover and recharge mentally and physically. So there’s a little less practice between tours.”

After two years away from the stage due to the pandemic, Mikkey Dee explained that he had more rehearsals during that period, both for recording the new Scorpions album and for preparing for the band's new tour.

Later in the Q&A, guitarist Rudolf Schenker praised Mikkey's dedication to rehearsals during the lockdown period. “I was trying to stay in shape, playing drums and being energetic. You need to stay on top all the time, you can't just sit back, sit in a comfortable chair and just let yourself go,” he continued. “I mean, you can't just do nothing, go on tour and blast on stage, you have to work hard.”
