The São Paulo-based band Hollowmind continues to promote their latest work, the EP Inside An Extended Play , released in November 2021. The group has begun a series of reinterpretations of their songs with colleagues and musicians who inspire them, such as Felipe Machado , from VIPER , who participated in the new version of "State of Unfairs".
Now, the group brings in the band Remove Silence for a remix of the song “Hibernia”. “Our friends from Remove have a special connection with us, since Fabio Ribeiro and Ale Souza produced The Cardinal Factor , our second album,” says Rob Gutierrez , bassist and vocalist of Hollowmind. Eight years later, the bands found a creative way to maintain their partnership with this remix.
“Hibernia” (Land of Winter, in classical Latin) is a term commonly used to refer to Ireland, the country where most of the album was composed and recorded. The song's lyrics use the passage of time – specifically, the beginning of the seasons according to Gaelic tradition – to symbolize the frustrations and uncertainties of pandemic times. The single's cover features a section of the album's original artwork, created by Swedish artist Niklas Sundin (formerly of Dark Tranquillity ).
Produced and mixed by Val Santos ( Toyshop , ex-VIPER), the single is a Wikimetal Music and is available on all digital platforms.
