Hit The Noise releases “Lighter Than Life” after success at the KISS concert; listen exclusively

A band from Rio Grande do Sul that opened for KISS in Porto Alegre releases a new single exclusively on Wikimetal

The band Hit The Noise Rio Grande do Sul will release their new single “Lighter Than Life” this Friday, the 5th, exclusively available on Wikimetal .

The song had already received audience approval when it was first performed on a very special stage: Hit The Noise was the only band to open for KISS in Brazil, performing in Porto Alegre .

“The audience reaction was the best possible. Not only did the crowd really enjoy our opening act, but we also felt that they responded very well to the new sound,” guitarist Leonardo Theobald told Wikimetal . “And the next day, after the show, we started receiving messages from people who went looking for the song on streaming platforms or asking what the song's name was. It was really cool and made us rush to the studio to release it right away.”

Formed in 2018 by four friends, the band began their career by releasing singles and their self-titled debut album shortly before the pandemic, and the live EP Still Alive (2021).

The new song “Lighter Than Life” arrives to showcase the band's new direction with the arrival of bassist Marcel Bittencourt, who also produced the track, completing the lineup alongside Luciano Schneider (vocals), Leonardo Theobald (guitar), and Daniel Sasso (drums), who also designed the single's cover photo, working with model Lídia Pessoa. The track was mixed and mastered by Rafael Siqueira (Its All Red) and the vocals were produced by Renato Osório (Ex-Híbria) .

In the lyrics, Hit The Noise proposes a reflection "on the right that each person has over their own life," but there is still room for new interpretations. "Our daily decisions affect the course our lives will take and how they will end. And also about how, for some people, living itself becomes a burden to carry. It's a lyric that carries a very personal meaning for me," explained Luciano.

The song arrives on digital platforms this Friday, the 5th. Watch the music video with behind-the-scenes footage of the recording and scenes from KISS's opening show below.
