The volume of the Summer Breeze Brasil festival bothered residents of Barra Funda last weekend. The festival took place on April 29th and 30th at the Memorial da América Latina.
Reports and audio recordings from neighbors were received by Veja São Paulo , which highlighted some comments from residents who complained about the supposedly excessive volume of the heavy metal festival.
One of the comments highlighted by Veja is from a resident of the region for seven years who says he has never seen "such an absurdity" and described the situation as "unbearable".
A second comment came from a passerby, who reported: “The sound from Summer Breeze is excessively loud. I'm in my car, parked about 200 meters from the stage, and the car is shaking.”
In a statement to Veja magazine, the festival organizers asserted that the event's volume is within legal limits: "We measured the sound throughout the event and reported to the Memorial da América Latina and other responsible authorities. We attest that everything is within the limits established by law."
Summer Breeze Brazil has confirmed a second edition for 2024. More details about dates and location should be released in the coming months.
