Hetfield reveals the song that shouldn't have been part of "Ride The Lightning".

See the statement.

In an interview with the Mexican channel Sopitas, Metallica frontman James Hetfield was asked to comment on each of the band's released albums. The guitarist then shared a track that initially wasn't part of the album "Ride The Lightning":

"This was the first time we actually wrote a song in the studio. I remember we had all the songs and Lars came and said, 'The record company wants us to record one more for the album.' And I said, 'You didn't say that!' So we had to write and compose at the last minute. It was 'Escape,' the song that was written in the studio."

Regarding "Load," Hetfield said, "I learned that it's better to do less, but with quality."
