The drummer, formerly of Pantera and Hellyeah, died in June 2018

Hellyeah has confirmed that they will release a new album in 2019. The LP will mark the band's last work with drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott , who died in June.

The announcement was made via a Thanksgiving message on the band's Facebook page. They wrote: “Happy Thanksgiving, Hellions!! See you next year with a new album that will blow your minds!!”

Vinnie Paul died of dilated cardiomyopathy, as well as severe coronary artery disease. His death was a result of chronic weakening of the heart muscle.

Just before he died, Vinnie recorded the drum tracks for Hellyeah's sixth album.
