Helloween 's new album is getting closer and closer! The self-titled album will only be released on June 18th, but Wikimetal has already listened to the album firsthand and talked to the band about the creative process during this reunion.
The project will have 12 songs , each written individually without collaboration between the members. When questioned by Daniel Dystyler about this dynamic, Kai Hansen explained that this change is related to the maturity and age of the band members.
“When the band is new and everyone is young, everyone hangs out together and we have all the time in the world. It’s very easy to write songs together. Nowadays, everyone has their own life, their families, their commitments,” he explained. “We don’t have the necessary time, so it’s easier for each person to bring the idea for the song half-finished. That doesn’t mean there aren’t collaborations from other people on the songs, it just doesn’t appear in the credits. I contributed to many songs on this album and other people contributed to my music. We just decided that we don’t need to believe it.”
