Helloween , the masters of melodic power metal, shook social media by announcing a new partnership to record a new studio album, scheduled for 2025.

According to a note on the band's official Instagram , RPM commented on the signing: “It’s a true milestone for Reigning Phoenix Music to welcome Helloween into our family of artists. They are not just a band, but they manage to synthesize all the energy and passion of power metal in their songs, which have inspired generations, and still do, so we are proud to collaborate so that the band can reach even greater heights.”

Andi Deris , one of the band's vocalists, explains: “As for us, we are equally excited about the new partnership: Sven Bogner and his team convinced us with their ideas and enthusiasm, because they live and love metal, and that's what unites us – we are eager to work with them!”

“Specifically, we will begin working on new material this summer and plan to release a new studio album in 2025. Stay tuned, pumpkinheads!”

According to the website Blabbermouth , after performing sixty shows around the world to promote their album Helloween , vocalist Michael Kiske and guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen , along with Deris, guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner , bassist Markus Grosskopf , and drummer Daniel Löble, now intend to work on the follow-up to their acclaimed self-titled 2021 album, with plans to release the LP in 2025. The European summer begins on June 22nd, meaning the band will soon be in the studio working on new surprises.

On their last United Forces , they also visited Brazil, with a solo show in Curitiba , and participation in the Monsters Of Rock festival at Allianz Park in São Paulo.

With the return of the band's original vocalist, Michael Kiske, after 30 years away, things took a while to get back on track musically. Those who had the opportunity to see the two shows of the Pumpkin United World Tour in 2017, at Espaço das Américas in São Paulo, witnessed a band that was still out of sync, with some technical problems, but still unsurpassed in their stage presence.

But it was after the pandemic that they returned more explosive than ever. Andi and Kiske are in perfect sync; the song "Forever and One," sung with acoustic guitar by the duo, was very well crafted with the division of vocals. It's worth remembering that the song was part of the album The Time Of The Oath (1996), already with Deris on vocals. The return of Kai Hansen on guitars was also fundamental, with greater vocal participation and more solo time on stage, which provided the perfect balance for the melodic metal sound.

Andi had previously stated: “What a ride! This world tour was something special for all of us – reuniting with all our fans after a long wait, a moment we all missed so much!”

She concludes by saying, "Personally, I can't imagine doing this without Michi and Kai anymore! And now we're looking forward to our next studio album!"

On January 22nd, Kai Hansen gave things a head start by a riff at the end of his birthday thank-you video on his Instagram
