Hellfest Open Air Festival is postponed to 2022; learn more here.

"We were hoping for the best, but the worst is yet to come," the festival said in a new statement

The highly anticipated Hellfest Open Air has been officially cancelled for 2021.

The event published an announcement today, the 19th, stating that “We [the festival] were hoping for the best, but the worst is yet to come. The uncertainties of the health situation and the latest government regulations are forcing us to cancel the next edition of Hellfest, which was to take place in June (18, 19, and 20).”

The regulations mentioned in the text state that summer festivals can only take place with 5,000 people seated and with social distancing, and even without wanting to blame the government for the rules, the festival organizers understand that Hellfest would never work under those conditions.

The festival, which this year was to feature Judas Priest, Faith No More, System Of A Down , Korn, Deep Purple, The Offspring and many more , has been postponed to a year later and is now scheduled for July 17, 18 and 19, 2022. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new dates. Aware of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic, the festival organizers are sharing information about how fans can safely resell their tickets on the same platform to another fan who wants to attend the festival.
