UK census considers Heavy Metal a religion

The latest census in the United Kingdom revealed that Heavy Metal is a larger religion than Druidism, Scientology, Shamanism, and many others in England.

According to the study, when asked about their religion, 6,242 people responded that they followed Heavy Metal. This phenomenon is the result of a campaign by Metal Hammer , focused on transforming Heavy Metal into a religion. Saxon's frontman, Biff Byford, volunteered to be the global ambassador for Metal, representing the religion.

In an interview with Wikimetal in August, Byford even said that he was the only one to publicize the religion.

The census also revealed that 176,632 people chose "Jedi" as their religion.
