Health expert says concerts and festivals are not expected to return until October 2021.

Zeke Emanuel believes it is impossible to reschedule major events for the end of 2020

Zeke Emanuel , a health expert, stated in a roundtable discussion for The New York Times that concerts and music festivals will only be able to take place in October 2021 at the earliest.

In the conversation, Emanuel expresses his astonishment at seeing concert promoters and festival producers rescheduling shows for the end of 2020, and considers it a "plausible possibility".

“Larger gatherings – conferences, concerts, sporting events – when people say they’re going to reschedule this conference or graduation event for October 2020, I have no idea how they think that’s a plausible possibility. I think those things will be the last to come back. Realistically, we’re talking about the fall of 2021 at the earliest,” Emanuel stated.

Apart from some major festivals, such as Glastonbury and Governors Ball , which postponed their editions to the following year, others, such as Coachella and the Lollapalooza , are rescheduled for the end of this year, so far.
