Hayley Williams interrupts Paramore show due to fight: "I look like a teacher"

The lead singer of Paramore asked for the fans to be separated.

While on tour in North America, Hayley Williams , lead singer of Paramore , interrupted a show due to a fight between fans. The show in question took place on Monday, the 7th, at the History Club in Toronto.

The pause occurred during the performance of the single “Caught in the Middle” from the album After Laughter (2018). “Is everyone okay? Okay, we have a fight? Oh, man. What do you think this is? A horror ?” the singer questioned. “We’re not a hardcore , man. Let’s dance tonight, let’s have fun.” Hayley Williams then added jokingly: “I sound like a teacher. Detention for everyone!”

The topic has been frequently raised since the chaos that left eight dead and numerous injured at Travis Scott 's Astroworld in November 2021. As a result, many artists like Pearl Jam and Willow have been paying closer attention to violence and audience health during live shows.

The single “ This is Why ”, released in September, marks Paramore's return after five years. Their sixth album, of the same name, will be released on February 10, 2023.
