Paramore 's leader and founder , Hayley Williams , stated that she is ready for a new album with her band.
Paramore's last album, After Laughter , was released in 2017 and followed a much more pop direction, moving away from the punk rock style that made the band explode worldwide.
Hayley, who released her first solo album, Petals for Armor, in 2020 and has just surprised fans with the release of her second album, Flowers for Vases , answered a series of questions on Twitter.
When asked if she has more songs for new solo albums, Hayley Williams replied:
“Yes, there are more songs. But I don’t plan on another solo album. And I don’t think they’re good for Paramore. I’m ready to make the next Paramore album. Let’s go for it.”
As with her solo work, in addition to singing, Hayley also plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, and drums, so she was asked if she would also be involved with the instrumental parts on a Paramore album:
“I would say that I’ve never stopped being involved to this day, but the thing is, we grew up playing together and learned (and re-learned) how to compose together. These guys are my favorite musicians in the world. I’m excited to see how our songwriting process will evolve for this next project.”
