The band Hatefall recently released their new single “The Battle of Erinyes”, an epic about a warrior who faced the furies of Greek mythology.
Composed by guitarist George Pinhal, the song features the band's heavy metal sound and seeks to revisit the genre's mythical themes by narrating this warrior's battles with the three sisters of fate, also known as the Erinyes or Furies in ancient Greek mythology. These beings were the personification of vengeance and punished mortals for the mistakes they committed in life.
Formed by Helio Funes (vocalist), George Pinhal (guitarist), Gabriel Pinhal (guitarist), Johanes Godoi (bassist) and Wagner Leite (drummer), the band Hatefall emerged in Curitiba in 2014, influenced by major bands from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene.
