Hatebreed recently released their new song “Make The Demons Obey”. The band hadn't had new material since Weight Of The False Self (2020).
In May, frontman Jamey Jasta spoke with Into The Necrosphere about the progress of the band's upcoming album. He stated that "creatively the ideas are all there," along with the lyrics, "the music is all there." He added that he has been in meetings with different record labels.
Jasta continues: “It was kind of funny and cool, I just mentioned in passing that we were free agents, and then it kind of went semi-viral or something, because we were soon contacted by every record label imaginable. And it was really great to see that there was this interest from all these labels.”
In November 2024, bassist Chris Beattie left the band in a "completely unexpected" manner . Then, in June 2025, guitarist Wayne Lonizak had to leave the European tour after being diagnosed with benign meningioma, a non-cancerous brain tumor.
The group continues touring with substitute members: Matt Bachand (guitar) and Carl Schwartz (bass).
