Hardy releases the lyric video for the track “Sold Out” this Friday, the 26th.
In January, the artist released the album the mockingbird & THE CROW (2023) , combining rock, hardcore and country across 17 tracks. “Sold Out” is one of the songs that are part of this project.
Set immediately after the interlude, “Sold Out” walks the line between these genres and reflects Hardy’s personal life in the face of musical success. The track explores rock influences, and the songwriter states: “I’m a big fan of rock 'n’ roll. This genre has a lot to do with how I create music.”
Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, Hardy has his family and musical roots in Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music. Despite his strong country influences and having worked with some of the genre's biggest artists today ( Florida Georgia Line , Chris Lane , Blake Shelton , Thomas Rhett ), the musician doesn't limit himself to a single style.
The blend of country with rock and hardcore has become his trademark. In 2020 he released his debut album, A Rock , which showcased the singer's unique sound. Now, this identity becomes clearer and stronger with the mockingbird & THE CROW.
