As previously noted, with the Demons & Wizards website Century Media Records, it was only a matter of time: Hansi Kürschof Blind Guardianannounced that he is leaving Demons & Wizards, a collaborative project with Jon Schaffer, following the controversies surrounding the musician.
In a statement to Rock Hard, Kürsch says, “I notified Jon and Century Media on Monday that I was leaving the Demons & Wizards project immediately. My collaboration with Jon on Demons & Wizards is over.”
The band's last release with Hansi still present was on February 21, 2020, with the album III, listen below.
