Guitarist talks about album with Lou Reed
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett defended the band's controversial work with Lou Reed.
Speaking about the film “Through The Never”, Hammet told the interviewer that Metallica doesn't consider fan reaction when deciding on a next project:
“Lulu is a good example of that. I think the album is one of the best things we’ve done. The song Junior Dad brings me to tears, and working with Lou Reed was so special for us. Maybe it’s not for everyone. Maybe it’s a challenge for our fans, but for us – Lars, James, Rob and I – we loved it and it was a great experience.”
The Metallica movie premiered this week and is expected to arrive in Brazil on October 4th.
