Crimson Thunder is the fourth album by the Swedish band Hammerfall , and it's also the name of one of the songs on the album, which we're going to talk about today…

This is considered one of the band's most classic songs, and it has one of the best choruses in all of power metal.

The translation of the song title is "crimson thunder," and crimson is a strong, bright shade of red, where the band alludes to a person's blood.

This reference to "crimson thunder" is nothing new for the band and comes from the song "Unchained," from the 1997 Glory To The Brave

And the music speaks volumes about that, as if the crimson thunder were its pulsating blood, its essence, perhaps its intuition at times.

“We are the voices in the darkness […]
We are the stars in the sky.
We gather the winds so you can fly.
We are the light when you fall asleep.”

The song begins in a rather poetic way, explaining what crimson thunder is and how it runs through our veins.

The band always likes to start their songs in a more serene way, always with strong and impactful phrases.

“Follow the signs of the crimson thunder.
We will stand by your side.
Let our voices be there to guide you.”

Follow your heart, trust your intuition, and don't stray from your path... after all, crimson thunder runs in your veins.

"We are the forces in the rain.
Within your heart, we are the
endless answer to your fears."

Each verse of the song speaks as if he were trying to overcome a fear, or some adversity, and he must always follow his instincts to move forward.

"So take a step towards the light.
The crimson sky fills the night.
The revelation is near.
All your dreams can come true."

The closer you are to the light, the more the crimson sky fills the night; in other words, it's intrinsic that if you follow your heart, you will achieve your goals and see life more clearly.
