Hammerfall releases song featuring King Diamond; listen to “Venerate Me”

The song will be part of the Swedish band's new album, scheduled for release in February.

The Swedish heavy and power metal band Hammerfall released "Venerate Me" this Thursday, the 20th, a song featuring a special appearance by the legendary King Diamond.

“Venerate Me” is part of Hammer Of Dawn , the band's upcoming studio album, which will be released on February 25th. Listen below.

Speaking about the new release, guitarist Oscar Dronjak commented: “The second single is here, and I’m very, very proud of it. The song was written during the darkest and most uninspired days of the pandemic and still came out as one of the strongest on the entire album. Joacim [ Cans , vocalist] fantastic lyrical idea makes this track really stand out, and the special guest appearance at the end really pushes it to the limit.”

Joacim Cans also commented on the song. “The song is overloaded with enchanting melodies and a very catchy chorus. Lyrically, it's one of my greatest efforts, dealing with the fact that we die twice. First, when we take our last breath, and second, when someone says our name for the last time. 'Say my name and I will never die' [phrase from the song's chorus].”
