Hammerfall's last album was released in 2016
In an interview with Heavy New York, the Swedish band Hammerfall talked about their next steps.
Bassist Frederik Larsson said, "We'll probably start recording early next year, so there's some time to write new material."
Hammerfall will begin a North American tour in May, along with Flotsam and Jetsam.
“This is basically the most important thing we’re going to do (this year) ,” said guitarist Oscar Dronjak. “First of all, it’s the first thing we’re going to do, because we don’t have anything planned until mid-May, but also because it’s the only major tour we’re still going to do this year.”
The band's latest album, Built To Last , was released in 2016 via Napalm Records.
