Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale has suggested that the band's new album, their first since Vicious , could be a double album.
In an interview with Consequence of Sound , when asked about the new project, Hale gave details about the band's situation. "We've been writing a lot, so there will be new music at some point," the singer stated. "Maybe it will be a double album, because of all this. I think it's important to stay connected, not just musically, but so that everyone knows you're here and connected."
Recently, guitarist Joe Hottinger stated that the band's new music could be described as "a different flavor."
This flavor may be a result of the different times we are living in, and Lzzy is definitely learning and keeping herself creatively busy, as she states in the interview. “The funniest thing for us is that, since this pandemic declared, we’re busier now than maybe we ever were,” said Hale. “I’ve never had to learn so many technical things, videos, Zoom etiquette and all that! In many ways, I’ve enjoyed taking risks and us taking risks as a brand. I’ve kind of been preparing for something like this, and there will be releases, duets, and projects that I’ve been working on for a year or more that now have the opportunity to shine.”
Despite the activities, Hale also states, "We're all floating in the industry right now, waiting for the endgame."
