Halestorm 's new album appears to be closer to an official announcement, with the first single already chosen by the band and "in the final stages" of being finalized.
The news was revealed by vocalist Lzzy Hale Trunk Nation Virtual Invasion program . “It’s going really well. We’re actually nearing the end. Everything is starting to really take shape and reveal itself. So, we’re in the final stretch,” she said (via Blabbermouth ). “We already have a first single lined up, that just happened. So you’ll definitely be hearing new music in the near future.”
Last year, the vocalist said that the album could be a double album due to the amount of material the band produced, but not everything will be used in the final version. "We wrote a lot for this album, and a lot of it we ended up throwing away and rewriting (...) to make sure it's right," she explained.
Still without a release date, the band's fifth studio album will be produced by Nick Raskulinecz. The project will be their first since Vicious (2018) and follows the release of the EP Reimagined , featuring new versions of the band's songs, a guest appearance by Amy Lee Whitney Houston 's classic "I Will Always Love You ."
