The album does not yet have a name or release date

Josh Smith, bassist for Halestorm, spoke with a radio station in Little Falls, Minnesota about the successor to Into The Wild Life (2015) and revealed it to be the band's best work to date.

"It's incredible! It will be released this year. I can't say exactly when, but we're in the final stages of completion. As soon as we finish the tour, we'll go back to the studio, get back to work, and I hope to finish the album soon."

Halestorm's fourth album is being recorded at Dark Horse Recording studio in Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz, who has worked with bands such as Korn, Rush, Alice in Chains, and Deftones, and produced Halestorm's cover EP, ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP , which was released in January 2017.

During a show in Canada, the band played a new song for the fans that will be part of the album. The track, "Black Vultures," was premiered during the tour where the band is supporting Stone Sour in North America.
