The musician worked with Ozzy for eight years

Guitarist Gus G. accompanied Ozzy Osbourne and his band for eight years until recently when the vocalist revealed he would be joining Zakk Wylde again.

Wylde had been replaced by Gus G. in 2009 when he decided to dedicate himself to other projects, including resuming work with his band Black Label Society.

Wylde's return was no surprise to fans, nor to Gus G., who said, "The two have a lot of history together ." During an interview with Metal Underground, the guitarist revealed he was happy with the decision: "The band belongs to Ozzy, he can do whatever he wants."

“I had a lot of fun playing with him. It was fantastic for me. It changed my life forever. I can't complain about anything. They always treated me very well. And I think since it's Ozzy's farewell tour, it's great that he's bringing Zakk back.”

Gus G. concludes the matter by saying: “I think the fans want this. They want to see Ozzy and Zakk together again (…) I mean, I grew up watching them together so I understand (…) I’m very happy and feel very honored to have what I have today.”

This year, Zakk Wylde celebrates 30 years of working with Ozzy Osbourne, having stepped away a few times to pursue other projects such as his solo career, the Zakk Sabbath tribute album, and many others.
