Guns N' Roses closed out the Rock In Rio last Thursday, the 8th, as the main headliners on the Palco Mundo stage. After the performance, Axl Rose used social media to apologize for not being in full health.
"I'd like to apologize for feeling a little unwell, thankfully it's not COVID. I tried to hold off on coughing between verses," he wrote on Twitter. "I love you all. Thank you to the fans and to Rock In Rio for everything, what an amazing crowd."
Broadcast live on Multishow, the hard rock giants' show generated many comments from fans and specialized media about the frontman's voice, which has been the target of constant criticism in recent years. In June of this year, a clip of Rose singing "Welcome To The Jungle" on the current tour went viral on TikTok for being considered "disappointing ." In the same month, the band postponed a show due to medical recommendations, and the vocalist said he was working with professionals to improve his voice .
Guns N' Roses in Brazil in 2022
After Rock In Rio, Guns N' Roses still has a series of shows in Brazil. The band, currently featuring classic members Axl Rose, Slash , and Duff McKagan reunited, arrived in the country at the end of August and has already played in Manaus and Recife, now heading to the remaining seven shows on Brazilian soil.
