Guns N' Roses reunion would be for "just a few shows," says Slash.

Guitarist revealed the reason why the band changed their minds and continued performing on stage.

The long-awaited reunion of Axl Rose , Duff McKagan , and Slash in Guns N' Roses took place in 2016. Since then, the band has undertaken extensive tours around the world and will continue at the same pace in 2022, with a confirmed appearance in Brazil at Rock In Rio .

However, the original plan was different. According to Slash, the band's reunion was supposed to be for "just a few shows," as the legendary guitarist revealed in a recent interview with CNN .

“When we got back together, all that chemistry that makes Guns N' Roses what it is for me, Axl, and Duff, it all came back into place. After that long period of time, we kind of forgot what it was like,” he said.

But when the band reunited, everything flowed naturally once again, and the group changed their minds about the tour's duration. "Everyone got along really well. In fact, that's why the tour continued, because initially it was only supposed to be a few shows," he said.

As Loudwire , the Not In This Lifetime Tour lasted three years and grossed over US$548 million, having been seen by more than five million people worldwide.
