Guns N' Roses fans can expect new music soon. According to Slash , unreleased songs from the band are on the way and the plan is to record a new album.
Duff McKagan returned to Guns N' Roses, the band has released revamped versions of songs written by Axl Rose decades ago. These include "Absurd" (formerly called "Silkworms") and "Hard School" (formerly known as "Jackie Chan"), and several others are expected to be revealed soon.
In an interview with Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk , Slash commented: “There are a few more things that we got together and recorded during quarantine and they’re going to be released. They’re really good, so I’m excited. We’re going to release one or two songs and then another one or two. And I think that’s it. I don’t remember how many we did in total.”
The guitarist also said that some of these tracks are "epic" and expressed his excitement to release them. As for a new album, Slash said he would like to record something new, but not before releasing these aforementioned standalone tracks.
“I want to record a completely new album at some point, probably soon, but besides that we have things we still need to release. They will be released gradually over the next few months. We have another tour to do in the summer and after that we should be free to work on a new album,” he comments.
The summer tour mentioned by the guitarist has not yet been announced.
