Richard Fortus commented on the upcoming Guns N' Roses album
Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus recently spoke about the possibility of a new studio album.
“Slash is on a solo tour right now,” Fortus said. “After he gets back, we should record more stuff and hopefully release an album soon. Then we should go back on tour.”
Last year, Slash stated that Axl Rose has many ideas for the new album. "Everyone thinks it's a good idea and everyone would like to do it," he said. "But we're so busy on the road that we haven't had time to sit down and say, 'Okay, let's make a record.'"
Three-fifths of the classic Guns N' Roses lineup reunited in 2016 after two decades without playing together. The Not In This Lifetime tour is now the most lucrative tour in music history and lasted over two and a half years.
In addition to Fortus, Rose, and Slash, the tour featured bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Frank Ferrer . Keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese are also part of the live band.
