Guns N' Roses kicked off their highly anticipated world tour, Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things, last Thursday, May 1st, at the Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, South Korea.
The band, led by Axl Rose , delivered a 22-song setlist, maintaining the essence of their performances after a year-and-a-half hiatus.
The start of the new tour also brought the first performance of Isaac Carpenter , who replaced former drummer Frank Ferrer , who left the band in March of this year after nearly two decades as Guns N' Roses' drummer.
Guns N' Roses changes setlist
Since 2012, this was the first time the band started their shows with the classic "Welcome to the Jungle" instead of the song "It's So Easy" that fans were already used to having as the opening act. Apart from that, the setlist didn't have significant changes, remaining very similar to the shows the band had been performing.
In addition to iconic songs, the setlist included some covers. In this show, the band performed covers of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan , "Live and Let Die" by Wings , "Wichita Lineman" by Glen Campbell , and "Slither," a classic by Velvet Revolver .
Some songs, such as "Don't Cry" and "Street of Dreams," were also left out of the setlist.
With tour dates running through July 31st, Guns N' Roses has yet to make any official announcements regarding dates in North or South America.
