Following recent Axl Rose 's vocal performance Guns N' Roses frontman released a statement to fans regarding his health and explained the recent cancellation of a show .
Last week, a video of the band went viral on TikTok due to Rose's "disappointing" voice , in the words of the user responsible for posting a snippet of "Welcome To the Jungle" that surpassed two million views.
Shortly after, the band experienced significant delays in London and had to cancel their performance in Glasgow, Scotland , last Tuesday, the 5th, citing "illness and medical advice".
The official statement from Guns N' Roses did not specify which member was experiencing health problems, but the British newspaper The Telegraph published rumors that the singer had suffered from anxiety attacks before some performances.
Axl Rose used social media last Thursday, the 7th, to update fans. “I’d like to thank everyone for the well wishes, they are very welcome! We apologize for the inconvenience of postponing the Glasgow show. I’ve been following doctor’s orders, resting, working with a voice coach and sorting out some sound issues,” he wrote.
"It seems to be going well so far. I appreciate everyone's concern once again. In the end, it's about giving our best to the fans and providing the best moments we can, that's what I, the band and the team are focused on," he concluded. The band will perform as scheduled in Munich, Germany, this Friday, the 8th.
Guns N' Roses in Brazil in 2022
Guns N' Roses will come to Brazil in September 2020 for a series of nine shows. The band, currently featuring classic members Axl Rose, Slash , and Duff McKagan , is a headliner at the Rock In Rio and will tour the country between September and October. See the dates and locations here .
