Guns N' Roses surpassed 2 billion views on the YouTube video for "November Rain" this Wednesday, the 15th, marking not only the first time in their career but also the first rock video to reach such a milestone. Previously, the video had already been the first from the 1990s to surpass 1 billion views on the platform.

The video, over nine minutes long, was directed by Andy Morahan and cost approximately $1.5 million. In it, Axl Rose plays a troubled rock star trying to cope with the loss of his girlfriend. The cause of her death remains a mystery to this day, but fans speculate that she committed suicide after discovering numerous infidelities.

There is also speculation that the girlfriend used a firearm, since the mirror funeral technique was used at the wake. This technique, typically used in cases of gunshot wounds to the head where the face is disfigured, reflects the uninjured side of the face and conceals the other side.

The scenes include a musical performance by the group, a helicopter sequence, an orchestra, a wedding, and more. The music video, released in 2009, can be watched at the end of this article.

Furthermore, the "November Rain" video was considered the best of all time by former President Donald Trump .

The track was the third single from the album Use Your Illusion I (1991) and reached number three on the Billboard .

“Sweet Child O' Mine” was another Guns N' Roses song, and the first from 1980, to hit 1 billion views on YouTube , surpassing the same number on Spotify . “ Paradise City ”, currently with 755 million views on the video platform, is expected to be the band's next song to surpass the billion mark.
