Týr's last release was in 2013
Terji Skibenæs , guitarist for the Faroese folk metal band Týr , announced that he has left the band. “I am now officially leaving Týr after 17 years. After months of careful reflection, I have finally come to the decision that it is time to leave. The reason is very simple: I no longer have the desire to play in Týr. There is no drama or anything happening between me and the band,” said Skibenæs.
Skibenæs' last show will be on August 17th, during Sabaton Open Air in Sweden, but the band has already announced their replacement: Attila Vörös , a Hungarian guitarist who has played with Nevermore, Sanctuary , and Satyricon.
The band will come to Brazil in October for a joint tour with the Russian band Arkona . Ticket information will be released soon.
