Guitarist Paulo Schroeber passed away today at the age of 40. The former member of Almah and Astafix had been hospitalized since last week in Caxias do Sul/RS.
Schroeber suffered complications with his heart device, used due to his arrhythmia. The official statement regarding the musician's death explains: “The procedure to reconfigure the heart device was ineffective, and the musician urgently needed a transplant. The situation worsened due to fluid forming in his lungs as a result of the heart's growth, which was pressing on the organ, causing him difficulty breathing.”
Brazilian Metal and Rock are in mourning; such a young musician deserves to be remembered forever for his immense talent and charisma. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
