Guilherme Arantes reveals his passion for Iron Maiden and a desire to "get closer" to metal

Guilherme Arantes is known for hits in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), such as "Planeta Água" and "Cheia de Charme," but he is also a fan of Iron Maiden .

In a recent social media post, the singer shared his "mood of the week" with his performance of "Run To The Hills" during the Legacy of the Beast , and revealed his interest in exploring metal. "Something is calling me to get closer to this style. Get ready, because!", he wrote. In the comments, followers expressed admiration for the singer's musical taste and positive expectations for future projects.

Many people don't know, but Guilherme Arantes had a progressive rock band in the 1970s, when he was the keyboardist and vocalist for Moto Perpétuo . The group only lasted two years, but it caught the attention of Moracy do Val , producer of Secos e Molhados, who made the release of the band's only album possible.

The musician has also demonstrated his fondness for the style on other occasions. Arantes is one of the guests who sang "Late Redemption" by Angra on the DVD Temple Of Shadows In Concert , alongside Edu Falaschi .
