Following the success of their 2020 Amends Grey Daze has confirmed that a new album is on the way and will include previously unreleased vocals from the late vocalist Chester Bennington. Grey Daze was the first band Chester was a part of, in 1993, well before any association with Linkin Park.
In a series of photos posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, the 13th, guest guitarist Dave Navarro showed his experience with the band working in the studio and confirmed in the caption that the recordings contain previously unheard vocals from Bennington. “Thank you to everyone who made this happen, it was exactly like spending a few hours with family and we were able to share some stories and smiles about our experiences with Chester. Haunting, for sure… but at the same time a celebration!” wrote the musician.
In an interview with Loudwire , Sean Dowdell of Grey Daze stated that all the vocals on the new album are by Chester Richard Patrick 's participation on one song. "All the lead vocals are by Chester," he assured.
The album Amends also featured Chester Bennington's vocals and performed very well on the charts, reaching the Top 10 of the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and reaching number 1 in the UK on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
