Before his breakthrough and success with Linkin Park , Chester Bennington formed the band Grey Daze , and despite his commitment to Mike Shinoda and company, Grey Daze was always something he wanted to revive.
Chester passed away in 2017 before he could fulfill that dream. He had revisited the topic with his bandmates, who had scheduled a reunion show in Arizona, the city where he lived before Linkin Park. Unfortunately, the show never happened.
To honor the vocalist, the group decided to compile his recordings into a new Grey Daze album – the first track has already been released, listen here . Now, the band has exclusively released, on Loudwire , a mini-documentary with behind-the-scenes footage of the album.
The video begins with Chester Bennington talking about the show they were going to do, and then drummer Sean Dowdell appears talking about his friend and bandmate. Susan Eubanks , Bennington's mother, appears in the documentary talking about his childhood. His father , Lee Bennington , and son, Jamie, also make an appearance.
