Greta Van Fleet performed on Sunday night

Greta Van Fleet is mentioned , comparisons to Led Zeppelin always arise. Not only does vocalist Josh Kiszka's vocals sound very similar to Robert Plant , but the band incorporates all the mannerisms and somewhat hippie "philosophies" of Zeppelin.

Greta had the opportunity to show that they are more than the comparisons suggest, that they have personality. A legion of fans awaited the group from the beginning of the day wearing Greta T-shirts and, believe it or not, Led Zeppelin t-shirts. It's quite clear that the fans of the new band are older and less accustomed to contemporary rock.

It's beautiful the atmosphere the audience created while eagerly awaiting the band, even though they're still relatively new to the scene. When Kiszka and drummer Danny Wagner took the stage, they were greeted with many shouts and applause. It's part of the mystique they've acquired, as everyone is curious to see if the band really lives up to the hype.

The performance, which began with "The Cold Wind" and "Safari Song," had some mixing issues at the start. All the instruments and vocals were very high-pitched, making it difficult to clearly hear these elements. Things started to improve during "Black Smoke Rising.".

The band's musical quality is undeniable, especially that of Josh (already mentioned), guitarist Jake, and drummer Danny. The latter two play incredibly long solos that draw applause from the audience. Even so, it's difficult to say that Greta has personality. The esotericism and 60s vibe are too forced, since it's clear that the band only does it for theatricality. The members also lack charisma

In songs like "You're The One," a spark of originality appears. It just needs the imitation to be left behind and these elements to become more present. This will determine whether Greta Van Fleet will be as big as the bands they so often emulate.
