Greta Van Fleet has cancelled its current US tour to await guitarist Jake Kiszka from pneumonia , diagnosed last week.
The band, which has a confirmed tour in Brazil at the beginning of May for shows with Metallica and a solo performance , has cancelled all performances until April 2nd.
“Although Jake was discharged after four days in the hospital, he is still battling pneumonia and its symptoms. The recovery process is longer and slower than anticipated,” the band explained in a statement. “Jake wanted to move forward, however, doctors advised that this could lead to further complications and a longer recovery.”.
The band's next performances will be in Latin America, supporting Metallica on their tour, starting on April 27th in Chile, followed by Argentina before landing in Brazil for five shows.
