Greta Van Fleet has announced their third studio album, Starcatcher . The successor to The Battle at Garden's Gate will be released on July 21st.

To celebrate the new release, the group launched the first single, “Meeting the Master.” The song is one of ten tracks on the album.

“'Meeting The Master' follows an esoteric world guided by the words of a wise teacher,” the band said in a statement released to the press. “Sung in the voice of a devout believer and occasional exclamation from the group, the song details the love these fervent followers have for their teacher and their unwavering belief in his vision. It’s an exotic spiritual journey. A dark comedy that inevitably ends in chaos.”

Speaking about the concept behind the track and the album, drummer Danny Wagner said: “We had the idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe. We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would emerge here and there throughout our careers in this world.”

The album was produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb and recorded at RCA Studios in Nashville. Starcatcher is now available for pre-order at this link.
